Epicentro Art was founded in Berlin by Marc Fiedler, in 2007. My idea is to present international expositions to an interested audience. The main focus of the expositions lies on contemporary art such as the fields of photography, paintings and videos. Marc Fiedler organizes expositions in co-operation with galleries, institutions and other private collectors. Epicentro Art is an exhibiting and event performing space. It is located in the Mitte district in the heart of Berlin’s cultural and gallery scene. The institution is especially famous in the international art-world. Our showroom and our team offer you top service in any area you require. In Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen zeigt und fördert die private Ausstellungs- und Sammlungsinstitution neben etablierten Namen junge, aufstrebende Künstler. Einen Schwerpunkt im Ausstellungsprogramm wie in der Sammlung Fiedler bilden die Medien Fotografie, Malerei und Video. Darüber hinaus versteht sich das Epicentro art als Plattform, dass in Kooperationen mit Künstlern, Institutionen sowie Galerien und anderen Kunstsammlungen Raum für neue Ausstellungskonzeptionen und deren Umsetzung bietet. Ein feststehendes Profil gibt es daher ausdrücklich nicht, was ein Blick in den Ausstellungskalender bestätigt: Hier finden internationale Namen wie Imi Knoebel oder Christian Boltanski ihren Platz neben politischen und diskursorientierten Ausstellungen wie beispielsweise „GVOON – 2000 inhaftierte Zeichnungen“ – eine Zusammenarbeit mit der Gedenkstätte Hohenschönhausen für Gefangene der Stasi-Untersuchungshaftanstalt.
